Preventive Case Specialist

Location: Monticello, NY
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
Hours: Monday-Friday, 20hrs Flexible.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Assist Preventive Caseworker working with families in the child welfare system due to risk of removal due to abuse or neglect.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with clients in their homes teaching them parenting skills, problem solving, and engaging in a partnership with clients.
• Assist with transportation to medical apportionments, Family Court or other appointments deemed necessary by the supervisor
• Data entry in electronic health record system, and other clerical or office tasks

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Flexibility to work on a Family Friendly Schedule
• Experience working with families
• Parenting background preferred
• Strong Role Model behaviors
• Excellent writing and verbal skills
• Proficiency using technology
• Good communication skills and the ability to work with families of diverse cultures and backgrounds
• Bilingual (English- Spanish) a Plus
• Must have reliable working vehicle
