Location:  New Rochelle, NY 10801      
Hours: 8:30am-2:30pm Monday- Friday, following the school calendar     
Salary: 16.00 - 17.00 p/hr. Dependent upon educational experience     
Sign on Bonus - $2,000     
Position Summary:      
Sensitivity and Empathy for children and their families      
Patient and gentle      
Familiar with challenging behavior in young children      
Familiar with the use of positive behavior support strategies      
Good communication skills      
Good organizational skills      
Basic Computer skills      
Basic understanding of child development                                                                                                                                                                                
Assist child in safely participating in activities of the daily preschool schedule      
Assist Head Teacher in all requested      
Participates in meeting the goals and objectives of the child as directed by Teacher or Assistant      
Responsible and dependable pattern of attendance      
Present appropriate professional appearance      
Participate in reflective supervision      
Assist children in toileting, including changing diapers      
Assist in other classrooms if temporary staffing adjustment is needed         
Continue in professional development including 30 hrs per License cycle      
Support a high-performing culture aligned with TGCW core values and B.A.S.I.C Tenets: Balance, Accountability, Satisfaction, Inclusion, and Communication.       
Qualifications: High School Diploma and some early childhood experience      
Travel Requirements: none      
Physical Requirements:  This job requires working with young children in a school setting. This position requires working with young children who may need help with self-help skills including toileting/diapering, lifting up to 50 pounds, running, etc.
