Hours: M-F 930 am to 6pm

Rate of Pay: $17.00

JOB DESCRIPTION                

The Certified Medical Assistant under the Supervision of the Behavioral Health Urgent Care Nursing Coordinator will be an essential team member at the center of the groundbreaking programs and collaborative services underway at our Behavioral Health Clinic in Newburgh New York.                

 If you are well-organized with an aim to support medical and psychiatric professionals in a fast paced and caring environment, then you should become a member of the Access team! We require: An individual with a caring and non-judgmental approach to others that values diversity and promotes cultural awareness and understanding. Proven work experience delivering administrative support in a large organization with a desire to support and serve others. Ability to multi-task. Must be detail oriented. Top skills in organization, communication, data entry, electronic health records, and office equipment maintenance.

You will need: Excellent person to person skills, a track record of exceptional customer service (most especially with at-risk and vulnerable people.) Experience with medical terminology, medical billing and insurance companies, able to provide clerical and administrative support to a variety of health professionals. A high school diploma or GED. Medical Assistant Certification or 3 years of experience working with doctors and nurses as they provide treatment and care. Clinic or hospital ward experience preferred. Excellent English language skills. Spanish language skills are a plus. A heart for client advocacy.
