Community Pre-Vocational Supervisor

Location: Middletown, NY
Pay Rate: $20.50 per hour
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm (40hrs)

OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The CPV Supervisor will assist Team Lead in ensuring all staff provide pre-employment and/or job readiness activities specified in an individual’s Life Plan and Staff Action Plan. These services are habilitative and prepare the individual for paid employment or meaningful community activities that enable an individual to attain the highest level of community engagement in the most integrated setting with the ultimate goal of employment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting team in:

• Following current Prevocational Services regulations
• Timely submission of Pre Voc Assessments, service documentation and monthly summaries
• Vehicle oversight
• Scheduling of daily and weekly group activities
• Attending Life Plan Meetings and submission of Staff Action Plans

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:

The CPV Supervisor will

• Be able to work as an effective and inspiring team player
• Hold excellent interpersonal, engagement and organizational skills
• Be the back-up for staff on leave; therefore, must be familiar with all participants’ Life Plans, Staff Action Plans and home addresses.
• Meet the qualifications of a driver as established by Agency policy

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• 3 years of direct care experience and 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:

• The employee is able to drive, walk and be outdoors for lengthy periods of time.
